The original series was based on the science fiction novel Star Trek by William Shatner.
But Star Trek The Next Generations was a reboot of the classic sci-fi franchise, so it didn’t last long on the big screen.
In 2017, Paramount Studios acquired the rights to the franchise and produced the new movie The Next Genesis.
But The Nextgen has yet to get a release date, and the producers are now planning to launch a live-action film series called Star Trek Into Darkness.
What you need to know: The first episode of The Next-Gen series premiered on April 24, 2019.
It follows a group of crew members who are sent to an alien world after being abducted by an unknown alien race.
The cast members will be joined on the show by guest star Christopher Lloyd.
Who are the main characters of The Star Trek Next Gen?
Captain James T. Kirk is played by John Cho, who played Captain James S. Kirk in the Star Wars films.
He was born in the year 2523, and was raised in an orphanage on the planet of Earth.
He is a decorated officer in the U.S. Navy, who was promoted to Captain in the Year of the Dog.
He left Starfleet to become a doctor on a starship, where he was captured by an alien race known as the Klingons.
The Klingon Queen, Kahless, commands the Klingon Empire.
She’s the one who introduced Spock to the Federation.
She is the first of the Klingon Queen’s five children.
She and her husband, Sarek, were killed in an attempt to conquer the Federation by Spock.
The First Officer, Michael Burnham, is played a by Zachary Quinto.
He also portrayed Spock in Star Trek Nemesis, Star Trek Beyond, and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
He’s also a producer and writer on Star Trek V. Who is James Tiberius Kirk?
James T.-Kirk, the captain of the USS Enterprise, was born on July 4, 2268, on Earth.
The character was first introduced in the second episode of the series, “Yesterday’s Enterprise,” which aired on February 17, 2269.
He would be the first captain of Starfleet.
In the next season, “The Cage,” Kirk would become the first Starfleet captain to survive a nuclear holocaust, but he would die of cancer in 2369.
Kirk would also be the one to introduce Spock to Starfleet.
Kirk was one of the first men to be named the next commander of the Enterprise, and later, as Captain Kirk, would be named to the rank of captain.
The Enterprise was destroyed in the Battle of the Binary Stars in 2270.
Spock would later serve as a lieutenant on the USS Vulcan, where his wife, Tasha Yar, would die in 2371.
Kirk and Tasha would be married in 2374, but would never see each other again.
Kirk’s wife would later die in a space battle, and his son, Spock, would grow up.
In 2375, Spock would marry Sareka Yar.
In 2527, the Enterprise would return to Earth, and Spock would lead the crew on a mission to the Alpha Quadrant.
The Next Star Trek series is set to be a rebooted Star Trek movie series that would follow Kirk’s adventures from The Next Enterprise to The Next Movie, which would follow his adventures in the Delta Quadrant as the Commander of the Federation in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
Who can watch The Next Trek series?
Star Trek Fans are encouraged to tune in to the premiere of The Last Leg of the Trek Series on November 16 to see who will be joining them on the bridge of the starship Enterprise.
